Top Travel and Local Apps on Android in Ghana Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the travel and local app market in Ghana experienced notable trends on the Android platform. Here's an overview of the top five apps based on their performance metrics, with insights from Sensor Tower.

Instabridge: WiFi Hotspot Map began the quarter with weekly downloads at 19K, which saw a decline to a low of 2.9K in mid-November. However, it rebounded towards the end of the year, closing December with around 5.7K downloads. The app maintained an active user base, starting at 34K and ending the year with approximately 17K.

Bella Pro showed a consistent performance with weekly downloads starting at 5.3K and gradually decreasing to 2K by the end of December. Revenue saw fluctuations, peaking at $30 in mid-December. Active users increased from 6.9K to about 8.5K throughout the quarter.

Trip.com: Book Flights, Hotels experienced significant growth in downloads, starting from just over 100 and peaking at 6.5K in mid-December. Active users followed a similar trend, rising from 381 to over 8.1K by the end of the quarter.

Ethiopian Airlines maintained stable download numbers, beginning at 2.3K and closing the year slightly higher at 2.7K. Active users increased from 7.3K to 8.6K during the same period.

Finally, Airbnb saw variable download activity, with numbers ranging from 1.7K to 2K. Active users showed a peak of 11.5K in mid-December, ending the year at around 10.1K.
